Located in the heart of Reykjavík, Ibrahim's Shalimar is renowned for its authentic, high-quality Pakistani cuisine, made with fresh ingredients, homemade spices, and a deep commitment to a memorable dining experience with them. The Shalimar family is also a huge fan of cricket.
This year’s tournament holds special meaning, as it is dedicated to the memory of Ibrahim Shah Uz-Zaman, the son of Shalimar’s owner, who was tragically killed in a construction-related accident at Ásvöllur on October 30th 2023, at the age of 8 years young.
Ibrahim was a bright, joyful soul who touched every heart he encountered. He taught those around him the true meaning of love, togetherness and positivity — a remarkable legacy for someone so young. His family mourns his loss every day, but they are determined that the world will come to know their son, brother, and friend through their ongoing work in his name.
In his honour, they have established the Ibrahim Shah Memorial Fund, which supports child traffic safety initiatives and community projects aimed at spreading Ibrahim’s message and preserving his cherished memory. Through the Fund, his spirit lives on in efforts that make the world safer and more compassionate.
